To my dearest family some things I'd like to say...
but first of all to let you know that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through
God picked me up and hugged me and He said "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth and all those loving years
because you are only human they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile
knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low
just lend a hand to pick him up as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I know I am a day early.. but I was thinking of you...

Many days have come
Many days have gone
So many nights
felt so very long

You were someone who made life
better because you were there
The memories we hold close
we continue to share

You made many stronger
because of the pain they had to endure
You made others realize things
they may not have done before

You're leaving left us with
a pain that was so deep
You're leaving left us with
memories we forever keep

So today we remember and
celebrate the life of you
Today we are thankful
for the life you shared with us too

And though your parting
has left a hole in our hearts
You being who you were
will always be the bigger part.

We all miss you so much Gary... me, tony, the kids, our friends, your family.. the list goes on... Four years have gone by and it still seems like yesterday when you were sitting in my house waiting for Tony to get ready for work, Chase was only a few months old and you were trying to be quite since it was 5:30 in the morning and he was asleep... but you wanted something to drink and were making all kinds of noise... its funny how you remember the very last moment that you seen someone and never for a moment would I have thought it right then and there. You and Tony left for work and I never saw you again. I will never forget that day or the days that followed... it was a friday... we went to band practice, you were suppose to come and never did, when we got home that night, I could hear fire engines.. since we weren't that far away, NEVER in a million years did I think they were for you... until the next morning when you werent showing up at my house for work, and werent answering your phone... I put on the news... and a nightmare was happening before my eyes, I can remember it all in detail... it seems like yesterday... Everyday I think of you, but this time of year it seems to hurt more. You are missed by so many people and remembered by just as many.

I miss you Gar... I miss seeing that "one of a kind" grin, I miss you sitting on my couch til midnight or one in the am when you knew you had to get up at 5:30 for work, I miss the way my kids smiled at you when you walked through the door, I miss listening to you and tony fight over the games and all the other stupid stuff, or how sometimes you would be stuck at someones house because you "lost your keys" only to find them 2 hours later in the car! I miss you raiding my kids candy stash.. LOL! and the list goes on and on... Its the little things that made you who you were.. theres at least one distinct thing about you that everyone you knew remembers... i have many... but i knew you for so long and so well... you were a part of my everyday, a huge part of my life, and when i lost you... I lost an important part of my everyday, and I miss it but at the same time, I am so thankful that I had a friend like you, that I had someone that was so important in my life, that it hurts so much to miss them. I hope that Nikkis dream was a sign, and that heaven really had its special place JUST FOR YOU! Happy Birthday Gary! Love ya and miss you so very much!

 TO GARY KNIGHT, JR: A SON'S LOVE      

I am the mom of angel Nick, who joined God in heaven on March 12, 2005.  Nick left us also due to a fire in our home at the precious age of 21.  He was an avid computer lover, who could build, program, network computers.  He was also a gifted swimmer, the backstroke and freestyle were his favorites.  He could have gone far.  He also had a learning disability in written language, who had to struggle thru school, thru taunts and teasing of classmates and some teachers.  Lost in the system, often depressed, he finally reached his dream, a HS diploma in 12/03, walking the stage in 6/04 (his legacy I say). Thanks in part to some teachers(one, his mentor, died 11/05 d/t ovarian ca).  Although I never met you Gary, I had the special honor of connecting with Teri, and getting to know you and your fiancee. I feel a connection, a closeness, to both families. God chose a beautiful couple to join him in heaven and I know my angel Nick is close by.  I pray that God lift our families and all greiving parents up in his spirit and surround us with peace, understanding and beautiful memories of our precious angels. Much love goes out to all who knew and loved Gary, 4-evr in your heart.

Happy 4th of July!!

This time of year is like a given... it was a fav of yours... You loved 4th of July, you loved the fireworks, and the fact that no matter what... we were always together.. the whole group of us... it was a celebration that we all enjoyed... and now we still enjoy this day, we still all get together and we all remember you... You were something else, someone that noone could ever replace, you were truly a gift and one of a kind... You are thought of everyday and missed so very much.. We will be thinking of you on Friday... I know you'll be here in your own way... Always on my mind, forever in my heart... Love ya Buddy!
