Sometimes I drive by your mom's house and forget that you're gone.  It's as if you're still there somehow.  I can still hear your contagious laugh and see your smile that squinted your eyes.  I was driving in the car today and heard a song that touched my heart.  It's called Love Too Sweet by Bonnie Whitmore.  "Love's not a thing you feel it's a thing you do."  Thank you for always being there for me.  "Damn... I miss you."

Six Years . . .  / Mom

Dearest Gary

I miss you more today than I missed you yesterday--these words I can honestly say have been true each and every day for the past six years.

My head tells me it's been that long but my heart can't grasp that concept.  No time frame can define the pain and the void felt by those who love you and miss you so.  Time doesn't even have the same meaning it used to.

Such a flood of memories--from sweet and sustaining to sorrowful and horror-filled.  Screams deep down inside try desperately to get out--but can't.  So there they remain. 

You know you took a chunk of my spirit with you when you left us.  But that's OK.  I have a chunk of your spirit as well.  I carry it in my heart every day.

Help us Gary at this very difficult time.  Put those strong arms of yours around our aching shoulders.

The number one thing I pray for is my children's happiness and fulfillment.  I prayed for you every day when you were still here with us and that has not changed--not one bit.  I hope and pray that you and Jaime are happy together and at peace in the light of God's love.  That's all I can do.

Tonight was one of those moments.... I think of you so often.... at least once maybe 2 3x everyday(sometimes I cant count the times you cross my mind).... but 2day i woke up with you on my mind... and thought about throughout the day... then 2night.. Donny puts on Mortal Combat for his pS3... and the memories start pouring in... We use to stay up for hours... 3-4 in the morning playing that stupid game... and its funny... when he plays that.. you are all what it think about... Its been quite some time and I still miss you like crazy...A day doesnt go by that I dont wish you were here... But when stories are told you are always right in the middle of them... You will NEVER be forgotten... you were ALWAYS my bestie... now you are my heart and soul and there you will FOREVER BE!!! Always on my mind... forever in my heart... I miss you Gary!!!xoxo Close

Christmas has been missing you.... We have been missing you... I have been missing you... At least 10 out of your last 15 xmas eves you were at my house with us wrapping gifts for the kids... you LOVED Christmas.. it was always so great seeing you come over with arms as far as they could go filled with gifts for my kids who wyes lit up when you walked through the door and smiled as far as that smile could go... who loved you more then you could have known.. and it breaks my heart everyday thinking that Chase never will have that chance to know you like Tony N Randa (and even a bit of Donny) did... this family misses you deeply... you were everything to everyone of us and this time of year your presence is missed a great deal... To my dearest family some things I'd like to say...
but first of all to let you know that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through
God picked me up and hugged me and He said "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth and all those loving years
because you are only human they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile
knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low
just lend a hand to pick him up as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I know I am a day early.. but I was thinking of you...

Many days have come

So many nights
felt so very long

You were someone who made life
better because you were there

because of the pain they had to endure

they may not have done before

We all miss you so much Gary... me, tony, the kids, our friends, your family.. the list goes on... Four years have gone by and it still seems like yesterday when you were sitting in my house waiting for Tony to get ready for work, Chase was only a few months old and you were trying to be quite since it was 5:30 in the morning and he was asleep... but you wanted something to drink and were making all kinds of noise... its funny how you remember the very last moment that you seen someone and never for a moment would I have thought it right then and there. You and Tony left for work and I never saw you again. I will never forget that day or the days that followed... it was a friday... we went to band practice, you were suppose to come and never did, when we got home that night, I could hear fire engines.. since we weren't that far away, NEVER in a million years did I think they were for you... until the next morning when you werent showing up at my house for work, and werent answering your phone... I put on the news... and a nightmare was happening before my eyes, I can remember it all in detail... it seems like yesterday... Everyday I think of you, but this time of year it seems to hurt more. You are missed by so many people and remembered by just as many.

I miss you Gar... I miss seeing that "one of a kind" grin, I miss you sitting on my couch til midnight or one in the am when you knew you had to get up at 5:30 for work, I miss the way my kids smiled at you when you walked through the door, I miss listening to you and tony fight over the games and all the other stupid stuff, or how sometimes you would be stuck at someones house because you "lost your keys" only to find them 2 hours later in the car! I miss you raiding my kids candy stash.. LOL! and the list goes on and on... Its the little things that made you who you were.. theres at least one distinct thing about you that everyone you knew remembers... i have many... but i knew you for so long and so well... you were a part of my everyday, a huge part of my life, and when i lost you... I lost an important part of my everyday, and I miss it but at the same time, I am so thankful that I had a friend like you, that I had someone that was so important in my life, that it hurts so much to miss them. I hope that Nikkis dream was a sign, and that heaven really had its special place JUST FOR YOU! Happy Birthday Gary! Love ya and miss you so very much!
